Escalon Fair Boosters is planning its annual Fundraiser Dinner and Dance, coming up this Saturday, May 14 at the Escalon Community Center. Doors will open at 5:30 p.m. and tickets are $40 pre-sale, $45 at the door. Proceeds of the event benefit local youths who show and sell market animals at the San Joaquin AgFest.

“This is our biggest fundraiser of the year and is well-attended by members of the surrounding community,” Fair Boosters officials noted in a letter sent to supporters. “The purpose of our fundraiser is to provide scholarships for graduating Escalon FFA and 4-H seniors, as well as acknowledge and reward our FFA and 4-H youth exhibitors for their hard work and effort that they have put into their livestock projects.”

This year, their projects will be showcased at the San Joaquin AgFest from June 13 through 18 at the San Joaquin County Fairgrounds in Stockton.

Along with the dinner and dance on Saturday evening, there will be both live and silent auctions featured as part of the Boosters fundraiser.
