EMERGENCY REPAIRS
utility work

A midweek water main break on Wednesday evening, Jan. 25 saw some residents lose water pressure in the city and resulted in city Public Works crews having to isolate the break and remove and replace an estimated 17 feet of pipe. Escalon crews worked in cooperation with Caltrans for traffic control and PG&E regarding a nearby gas line to replace the water line and residents in some areas of the city were issued a ‘Boil Water’ advisory for up to a 48-hour period after the break and subsequent replacement project. By midday Thursday, shown here, work continued on the effort.
