With over three weeks passing since the election for the state’s 10th Congressional seat, challenger Michael Eggman has finally conceded, acknowledging defeat to incumbent Congressman Jeff Denham. “This campaign was an amazing journey,” Eggman wrote in a Dec. 1 email, “but it has become evident during the most recent ballot count that there is no longer a plausible path forward even though there are still thousands of ballots yet to be counted.” At last count by the Stanislaus County Registrar of Voters, the incumbent Denham received 52.3 percent of the vote in Stanislaus County.
