A grisly discovery in a canal at South Henry and River Road in Escalon has authorities still looking for some answers. The San Joaquin County Sheriff’s Department received a call from a citizen about 10:40 a.m. on Sunday, May 24, reporting a possible body in the canal at the location. Escalon Fire Department personnel were also called to the scene, off Santa Fe and River, responding with deputies.
