With a special assembly at Escalon High School on Thursday, a downtown parade on Saturday morning, free meals all day Nov. 11 for veterans at the local Hula’s restaurant and the ceremony at the Veterans Memorial Wall at the city’s Community Center, local veterans were saluted this past week. All the activities were focused on offering thanks to veterans and their families for the service and sacrifices made. All the events were well-attended.
