Christmas Eve and, in some cases, Christmas Day services are on the schedule at churches around the area. On Sunday evening, Dec. 24, the Escalon First Baptist Church will host a candlelight Christmas Eve service at 5 p.m. The 45-minute service will feature traditional Christmas carols, readings of the scripture Christmas accounts, and brief reflections on the readings.
