Members of the Escalon Senior Fun Bunch are planning for their June gathering and will have a Hawaiian theme for the Wednesday, June 15 event.

Scheduled at the Escalon Community Center from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. on June 15, entertainment will be provided by the Ukulele Fun Strummers. Those attending can also learn some Hawaiian dance moves with Marie Davis, dance instructor. Also, attendees are encouraged to wear their favorite Hawaiian clothes and bring their June activity tracker.

As a reminder, the organization offers the weekly Senior Steppers walking group, which meets every Monday, Wednesday and Friday at 9 a.m.

The walkers gather at Brentwood Park, corner of Mission and Justin, to begin the walk.

The group has also started a new Escalon Senior Fun Bunch Singers troupe, with volunteer song leader Duane Lovett and piano accompanist Joanne Veenstra. Practices run about an hour and are held at the Community Center following the senior exercise/senior lunch program. For more information or to sign up, contact Tina Jensen at 209-484-8371.
