In an effort to support Delta College students and programs, the Delta College Foundation is preparing for a significant fundraising event on Saturday, Sept. 23 on the Delta College campus.

Community members are invited to attend the “Black & Gold” gala, or to make a donation. The generosity of donors allows the Foundation to establish scholarships, support student assistance programs, and enhance academic programs.

The event begins with a reception and campus tours at 5:30 p.m., followed by dinner and a program at 7 p.m.

Students, programs, alumni, and staff will be featured throughout the evening.

“The Black and Gold gala is a wonderful opportunity to showcase our college, our campus, and our programs while simultaneously making a direct and positive impact on the lives of our students,” said Joseph Feneck, executive director of the Foundation. “We believe in our students, and we believe in our community; support from our community allows us to enhance our efforts by ensuring all students have access to the necessary tools and resources to achieve their educational goals.”

Delta College pumps about $572 million per year into the local economy, according to a recent economic impact report. For every $1 invested in Delta College, the region gains approximately $8.80 in benefits.

“The Foundation Board invites you to attend our annual Black and Gold gala at Delta College,” said Steve Castellanos, president of the Foundation Board. “Enjoy your time visiting and learning about the College and its incredible students. What happens at Delta College is exciting. I know you will find that opportunities abound at Delta College for students and the community. We are grateful for your support.”

The Delta College Foundation “Black & Gold” gala is set for Saturday, Sept. 23 at San Joaquin Delta College, Quad and Danner Hall, 5151 Pacific Ave., Stockton.

Community members are welcome to attend. Individual tickets are $125 each. Sponsorship opportunities are also available. Those planning to attend are asked to RSVP by Sept. 15. Links to RSVP or to make a donation are available at https://deltacollege.edu/event/2023-black-gold-foundation-gala.
