In action at the April 22, 2025 meeting, the San Joaquin County Board of Supervisors proclaimed May 1, 2025, as “National Day Of Prayer” in San Joaquin County. Shown accepting was Pastor Brett Dood of Calvary Church in Ripon, center, with District 5 Supervisor Robert Rickman, at right, bringing the proclamation forward to the full board. Rickman represents Escalon and the surrounding area on the county panel. Also at the session, the board recognized the Merrill F. West Air Force Junior ROTC Program as “Future Leaders of San Joaquin County.” That item was also brought forward by Supervisor Rickman.
