It was only a pellet gun, loaded with air soft pellets, but one teen was taken to the hospital for treatment when he was struck by a pellet in a ‘drive by’ shooting on Thursday afternoon, Sept. 25. Escalon Police said the report came in about 12:40 p.m., after shots were fired out of a vehicle in the area of Highway 120 and Yosemite. One teen was hit just below the eye, the other in the face, both suffering injuries from the pellet gun shots.
