The annual drive-thru tri tip fundraiser for Escalon’s Sober Grad program was staged on Saturday, with ‘chefs’ Kenny Taggart and Robert Leal overseeing the barbecue grill outside El Portal Middle School. Officials said around 150 dinner tickets for the tri-tip feast were pre-sold and proceeds help support the graduation night party for EHS seniors. Several seniors worked at the event to earn some money off their graduation night party ticket.
