For those who have been cooped up long enough, the Stockton Astronomical Society, in cooperation with San Joaquin County Parks, are serving up some fun outdoor activity.
All are encouraged to join in the popular Astronomy In The Park series, which will be staged on Saturday, June 19 from 8:30 p.m. to 10:30 p.m.
A second stargazing night is already on the schedule for July, set for Saturday, July 17 from 8:30 p.m. to 10:30 p.m.
Both astronomy nights are scheduled at Oak Grove Regional Park, at I-5 and Eight Mile Road, Stockton.
This is a free event, but there is a $6 parking fee per vehicle.
Residents can bring a blanket, some snacks and come out to stargaze, with telescopes provided.
More dates will be announced in the coming weeks for the Astronomy Night events.
