Escalon United Methodist Church is bringing back its annual ice cream social.
Like many events, the social had to be canceled in 2020 but Pastor Peggy Bosch was able to share the news this week that they are back on the schedule.
“We just decided about a week ago, we can do this,” Pastor Peggy said.
A longtime community favorite, the ice cream social is scheduled for Saturday, Aug. 21 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. in the social hall at 2000 Jackson Ave., Escalon.
“It’s free but donations are always gratefully accepted and go towards our ministry outreach,” added the pastor.
The evening typically features a wide variety of homemade ice cream, in an assortment of traditional and often unique flavors, as well as other desserts including pies, brownies, cake and more.
