Women’s Fair Goes Virtual In A Big Way
VIRTUAL
Successful Women of America, Central Valley is hosting its popular annual Women’s Fair virtually, scheduled for Oct. 24 and 25.

Adapting to the times and determined to still have a safe and successful event, Successful Women of America, Central Valley is hosting its popular annual Women’s Fair virtually. The group will do this by leveraging technology in new and innovative ways to create an event filled with over 20 speakers and workshops, a job fair, scores of booths and more. As Chair Kimberly Vaughan explains, “You won’t have to miss one single speaker, workshop, art piece, employment opportunity, or shopping experience. We are coming to you!”

For over five years, this successful two-day event, normally held in Modesto, has been a major attraction for women from around the Central Valley and beyond. Hundreds come to listen to diverse speakers, attend seminars and browse the booths of artists, merchants and the job fair – as well as network with other women. This year’s virtual event will be on Saturday and Sunday, Oct. 24 and 25. It’s a chance to find job opportunities and gain tools and insights from leaders that offer proven success, while still maintaining social distancing guidelines.

“This has been an exciting challenge,” Vaughan shared. “So many events have had to cancel, and we were determined not to let that happen. We’ve actually created a virtual Exhibit Hall with virtual Artist and Vendor booths and a Job Fair Hall with virtual Employer booths that people will be able to visit and shop from, all online, all from home in addition to an exciting line-up of professional speakers on topics that will inform, inspire and change lives. We all need connection now more than ever and I believe that two days of inspiration, information, and connection will be a welcome event for all.”

Speakers include Gallo Center for the Arts Executive Director Lynn Dickerson; clinical psychologist Dr. Beth Halbert; successful entrepreneur Jill Stein; Emmy-award winning speaking coach Jessica Chang Irish; financial planning expert Alanna Scott; award-winning business consultant and author Claudia Newcorn; author and parenting expert Dr. Barbara McKeon; celebrity image consultant Nathalie Chapron; and transformational life consultant Karrie Mitten.

The event has a growing list of sponsors, including Mountain Fitness, Wine Tails, WorkVine209, Up Level Your Life Consulting LLC, Tele-Resume, Virtually Events and Chicken Ranch Casino.

“We have great packages,” Vaughan said “and welcome more sponsors for this event.”

Because the event is virtual and space is not an issue, Vaughan added that they’re welcoming more vendors, artists and job employers. Tickets are $10 for the two-day event. To learn more, visit www.swofa.org/womens-fair.
