Two separate activities are scheduled for Saturday, Sept. 15 through San Joaquin County Parks, with bird watching and star gazing on the schedule.

Bird watching at Woodbridge is slated from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Woodbridge Wilderness Area. If you enjoy bird watching, this is the place to go. Trails, native flora and fauna plus fishing at the edge of the Mokelumne River are also available in this perfect birdwatching spot.

Saturday evening, Sept. 15 you can see the stars at Oak Grove, with indoor activities at the Nature Center starting at 7 p.m., followed by the star gazing. There is a $6 parking fee at Oak Grove but all activities inside the park are free. You can view Venus, Mars, Jupiter and even the M57 (Ring Nebula) during this Astronomy in the Park gathering at Oak Grove Regional Park.
