Dennis Quaid Brings Hollywood To 2017 Stanislaus County Fair
Dennis Quaid

Dennis Quaid and the Sharks will be performing Saturday, July 22 at the Stanislaus County Fair on the Bud Light Variety Free Stage. The concert will be hosted by 104.1 The Hawk and will begin at 8:30 p.m. The concert is free with the price of Fair admission.

“We know and love Dennis Quaid as an actor, but now we get to see him as a rock star,” said Adrenna Alkhas, spokesperson for the Stanislaus County Fair. “Dennis Quaid and the Sharks are sure to be a fun treat for all of our Fair guests.”

Best known as an actor, Quaid has a variety of dramatic and comedic roles under his belt including performances in The Rookie and The Parent Trap. When he is not flexing his acting chops, he is performing with his band the Sharks. His musical journey began when he was invited onstage to perform with fellow actor Harry Dean Stanton and his longtime band, the Harry Dean Stanton Band. Quaid’s performance went over so well that he was approached by a member of Stanton’s band to start a new group.

Dennis Quaid and the Sharks specialize in rock and roll and country soul with the occasional Jerry Lee Lewis classic thrown into the mix. Quaid serves as the lead vocalist and rhythm guitarist. He has firsthand experience performing Jerry Lee Lewis tunes, having played “The Killer” in the 1989 biopic Great Balls of Fire. Dennis Quaid and the Sharks have performed in front of thousands of people receiving rave reviews for their stage presence. Dennis Quaid is not just another actor turned rocker – he is a bona fide rock star.
