Mark the calendar for a couple of special events this month in nearby La Grange.
Holiday shoppers, don’t miss the third annual Odd Fellows Christmas Craft Fair on Saturday, Dec. 9 at the IOOF Hall in La Grange, open from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Come share an abundance of Christmas cheer in the warm atmosphere of this historic 1881 vintage Odd Fellows Hall. A fine collection of artists, collectors and crafters will be assembled for your shopping pleasure, and they’ll also offer seasonal refreshments and treats available for sale.
The IOOF Hall, at 30018 Yosemite Boulevard in La Grange, is the home of Lafayette Lodge #65, Independent Order of Odd Fellows.
The Odd Fellows of LaFayette Historical Lodge #65 also remind you of their monthly breakfast, always on the second Sunday at the IOOF Hall. Sunday, Dec. 10 is the date this month. Open 8 a.m. to 11 a.m., the menu includes biscuits and gravy, sausage, ham and cheese omelets and French toast. Complimentary coffee and orange juice round out the meal, all for $6 per adult, $3 for children ages 6 to 12, while 5 and under eat for free.
The Holiday Spirit will be in full swing all during the month in La Grange. At the four-way stop the La Grange Fruit Stand will have a nice supply of Christmas trees, with Christmas goodies and pies available as well, open Thursdays through Mondays.
