Cougar track and field athletes continued with league competition this past week, traveling to Hughson for the final dual Trans-Valley League meet of the season.

It was hosted in Hughson, by Hughson on Wednesday, April 26.

“Our boys didn’t fare too well against Hughson, they are one of the toughest in the league,” head coach Carrie Nash said of the tough 28-108 loss for the varsity boys. “Our girls team also struggled, we lost 40-87.”

Despite both squads taking losses, Nash said the athletes continued to perform at a high level.

“Overall, the team showed tremendous growth and progress in their times and marks and it was fun to see students setting their best marks even if for some, it wasn’t enough for a scoring place,” Nash explained. “That’s what a lot of this is all about and this is definitely the time of year for it.”

Following are top efforts by athletes, with the top three scoring; a PR indicates it is a personal best for the athlete this season.
