Picking up where she left off last season, local athlete Erica Swanson turned in a first place showing on Saturday, June 25 at the INT Tour League opener Stop 1 and notched a second place finish on Sunday, June 26 Stop 2.

Her best for the weekend was 15 off 4 at 26 mph at Villa Lagos in Red Bluff.

Also competing well, her father Eric Swanson did the same but came in third on both days in his division.

Both father and daughter are members of the Mid Valley Water ski club.

The INT League is an amateur water-sports competition that features Slalom, Wakeboard, Wakesurf, Wakeskate and Kneeboard for all ages. The Swansons made a splash in the sport last season, bringing home a number of top honors, and are poised for another solid showing this year.

The next tournament for the pair will be Aug. 13 and 14 at Eagle Lakes in Tracy.

The Western Regional is scheduled for Sept. 16 through 18, at Villa Lagos, Red Bluff.
