Sports Scrapbook: Second Season Competition Concludes

Following the final match of the season, fans from the student cheering section moved to center court to pose with the varsity volleyball team, sharing a victory in their finale.

In a whirlwind of a ‘Season Two’ sports campaign, many Escalon High School teams played a league schedule in the Valley Oak League. Moved into the VOL for this season due to the pandemic, the Cougars faced off with teams such as Oakdale, Weston Ranch, East Union and more, while also working in a couple of familiar Trans-Valley League teams in non-league contests.

It was a jam packed schedule during the spring, with multiple sports teams suiting up, from track and field to volleyball. There were no playoffs, no postseason runs … but coaches and players were happy to be able to get on the courts, fields and tracks to battle it out with opponents.

Here are some photos from the second season for the Cougar teams.
