Experience the excitement of the holiday season with the Stockton Figure Skating Club, with upcoming performances on Friday, Saturday and Sunday, Dec. 10 through 12.
The cast of the 'Winter Wonderland on Ice' show represents the entire community, according to Robert M. Johnson, spokesman for the club.
"We have our tiny tots with their eyes full of dreams, our 'snowflakes' who have formed great friendships, and our competitive skaters who will thrill you as they glide effortlessly across the ice," said Johnson.
The show will start with a celebration of the holidays as seen through the eyes of children today, then travel back through history as skaters perform a selection of traditional holiday songs.
A special guest appearance will be made by 1980 Olympic bronze medallist Charlie Tickner, who is also a World and United States champion.
Those planning to attend are reminded to dress warmly. Refreshments will be available.
Performances are Friday, Dec. 10 at 6:30 p.m.; Saturday, Dec. 11 at 11 a.m. and 6:30 p.m.; Sunday, Dec. 12 at 5 p.m. Tickets are $10 for adults and $5 for children and seniors over age 65. The event is sanctioned by United States Figure Skating.
