Escalon Lady Cougar golfers, top photo, Madison Kindberg, left, and Angelica Fernandez were on a team playing in the Pete and Sheila Arellano scholarship tournament on Saturday, hosted at Escalon Golf Course. At side, the Arellano’s son-in-law Gale Jensen sizes up the situation as he prepares to tee off on Hole No. six. The team of Scott Page, Shane Davis and Tony Victorino took first, with second place going to Brady Altamirano, Nate Nash, Lance Rockwell and Andy Gaspar. Gale Jensen, son Jeremy Jensen, Richard Rech and Greg Moore finished third. Closest to the hole contest winners were Nate Nash, Charlie Dugo, Rich Rech, Tony Victorino and Andy Gaspar, with Tony Victorino recording the longest drive. The day wrapped up with a barbecue lunch for the golfers. Proceeds benefit two scholarships at Escalon High School in Pete and Sheila’s honor and memory.
