On Wednesday, April 13 the varsity boys ran past Mountain House 74-53 and Modesto Christian 101-19. The varsity girls also had a double victory, crushing Mountain House 90-37 and Modesto Christian 105-13.

The frosh-soph boys and girls team met 13 other teams in San Andreas on Friday for the Calaveras F/S Invitational.
“Sidney Lima put on a show for the frosh/soph girls. She won both hurdles races (100m 17.16, 300m 51.25) and ran a leg on each relay team, second place in the 4x100 and another first in the 4x400,” said coach Roger Beeman. “Running with her on both relays were Gabby Rigg, Annie Wyrick, and Jackie Lau. Lima’s time in the 300m hurdles was a meet record and put her on Escalon’s top five list.
Also placing in the top ten in their individual events (top five medal, top six score) were Lau (9th 100m and 5th 200m); Rigg (4th 800m and 5th 400m); Annie Wyrick (3rd 100m hurdles and 4th 300m hurdles); Madisyn Widmer (3rd 3200m and 6th 1600m); Lexi Johnson (8th HJ); Kaitlin Matsunami (8th SP): Kristen Gutierrez (9th TJ); Jessikka Gonzales (2nd HJ and 4th TJ); and the 4x100 relay team of Johnson, Gonzales, Jackie Medina, and Maddie Britton took fifth.
“This week, Escalon is at Hughson on Wednesday (April 20) for a dual meet and at Bret Harte for an invitational on Saturday,” Beeman said.
