Here’s your chance to let the animals watch you in action, on Sunday, Sept. 18, at the Sixth Annual Micke Grove Zoo Zoom 5K Walk/Run and Kids Run, taking place on the Micke Grove Zoo grounds in Lodi. Proceeds from this outstanding family event will benefit the zoo’s educational programs.

Participants of the 5K can choose to race, walk, or stroll through the beautiful Micke Grove Park, on a paved course, finishing inside the zoo. Unique zoo-themed awards will be given out for the top three male and female winners in following age groups: Under 13, 14-18, 19-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70-79, 80+. All entries include a commemorative T-shirt, refreshments, pancake breakfast, and free park and zoo entry.

KIDS’ RUN (Ages 8 and under; not timed or scored)

4 years and under: 100 yards

5-6 years: 200 yards

7-8 years: 400 yards

Kids’ entries include race bib, custom finisher ribbons, stuffed animal, and pancake breakfast.

Entry fees include 5K Run - Individual entry fee is $40 on race day.

Family Package pre-registration – Family package of four: $100, plus $20 for each additional family member.

Kids’ Run – Individual entry fee is $25 on race day.

The Zoo Zoom check-in and race-day registration will open at 6:30 a.m., with the Kids’ Runs starting at 8 a.m. The 5K Run/Walk will commence right after the kids finish.
