Making A Splash

With school time starting in just weeks, the children of Escalon Children Services have been making the most of their summer. Groups of kids are hitting the Escalon High School pool twice a week to cool off and have fun. The organization holds both before and after school programs. Children ages five to 12 enjoy the pool on Tuesdays and Fridays.

(Swim One) Twelve- year-old Hunter Budd cannonballs into the pool off the diving board on Friday afternoon.

(Swim Two) For seven years lifeguard Ian Fitzgerald has helped make the pool a fun and safe place for kids to swim during the summer.

(Swim Three) Ten-year-old Nathan Curless sprints down the diving board and pencils his way into the pool.

(Swim Four) The children at Escalon Children Services were enjoying the sun and water while also being safe. Some of the younger kids wore lifejackets and goggles. The Escalon High School pool is open Monday through Friday from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m.
