Escalon High School’s Daniel Gonzalez and Logan Widmer suited up recently for the gridiron. The two, 2016 graduates of EHS, were selected for the North squad and played in the 31st annual North/South Rotary Bob Green Football Classic on Friday night, June 24 at Veterans Stadium in Merced. The North came away with a 29-7 victory and included players from Escalon, Oakdale, Hilmar, Patterson, Central Catholic and others battling against a South squad that included Chowchilla, Merced, Clovis, Fresno and more. Escalon Sunrise Rotary was among the sponsoring organizations for the annual all-star classic.
