Escalon’s top three Masters finishers – who earned the right to represent Escalon at the State Meet in Bakersfield – share the honors as Athlete of the Week for their efforts.

Juniors Tyler Lawrence and Dominic Freeseha, along with senior Johnathon Costa, saw top seven placements at the Masters in Stockton in February, qualifying them for wrestling’s most prestigious high school event. The trio traveled to Bakersfield for the State Meet for action on March 1 and 2.

Lawrence qualified at 132 pounds, Costa at 170 and Freeseha in the 220-pound category.
