Annual 5K Run/Walk Promotes Brain Health
runner

Here’s a chance for you to run or walk for the health of that very important “muscle” in your body … your brain. Join in for the Second Annual Brain Health 5K Run/Walk, being held on Saturday morning, June 25, at McLeod Lake Park in Stockton. This special event benefits Healings in Motion, an organization that provides local educational programs and services, supporting brain health, stroke awareness, and prevention.

The Brain Health to Beat Stroke’s run/walk course is flat and fast, and features the scenic downtown Stockton Weber Point Area. This route is also wheelchair accessible.

On Your Mark Events will provide race-chip timing and results for runners. Trophies will go to the 5K Run overall male/female finishers and overall male/female Masters finishers (50 years and over). Medals will be given to the top three finishers in each age division: 12 and under, 13-18, 19-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70-79, and 80+.

Entry fees are $35 for adults, and $10 for children 12 years and under.

Race-day registration and check-in begins at 7:15 a.m., with the run and walk commencing at 8:15 a.m. sharp, at McLeod Lake Park (corner of Center and Fremont streets, next to the University Plaza Waterfront Hotel).
