For the third year in a row, the Stockton Ports Anchor Fund will host a FanFest, scheduled for Saturday, April 9 from 1:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. at Banner Island Ballpark.

With the purchase of a FanFest ticket, fans will receive a lunch, donated by Eddie’s Pizza, in addition to the opportunity to have a meet and greet with the Ports’ Opening Day roster. Tickets for the general public will be available for $5 starting at 1:30 p.m. on April 9 when gates open. Season Ticket Holders may purchase a ticket for a discounted price of $3.

Since its establishment in 2007, the Stockton Ports Anchor Fund has helped support many community projects, with a primary focus on youth centers and youth sports. The charitable fund reflects the Ports’ commitment to strengthening the community using baseball and entertainment as a backdrop, with over 440 non-profit organizations receiving donations in 2015.

Festivities will include an on-field batting practice for Season Ticket Holders, player autograph and photo booths, a mystery ball grab, a player memorabilia raffle, the opportunity to hit in the Ports’ batting cages, and the Kids’ Zone will be open for children 12 and under. All Season Ticket Holders must RSVP with the Ports front office at (209) 644-1900 to reserve a space for batting practice on the field.

For fans who wish to attend the game that evening vs. the Modesto Nuts, gates will re-open early at 5 p.m., with a start time of 7:10 p.m.

“We are excited for the new format of our FanFest and think this will generate a better experience for fans and players alike, while benefiting our Anchor Fund,” said Ports General Manager Bryan Meadows.

Opening day is April 7 vs. the Modesto Nuts. Individual tickets are currently on sale at the Stockton Ports Box Office, open weekdays from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., at stocktonports.com or by calling 209-644-1900.
