The 16th Annual Saron Lutheran Church Golf Tournament was held on June 24 at the Jack Tone Golf Course in Ripon. Surviving the 100+ degree temperatures, the winning team with a score of 51 was “The Rusty Boilers” made up of Jim Warner, Chuck Wells, Ian Ryland and Bruce Pearson.

Individual honors went to Matt Stump, who won Closest to the Pin for the men while Cindy Leer led the way for the women. Ian Ryland took first in the Longest Drive for the Men and Cindy Leer drove the furthest for the women.

Organizers offered many thanks to the sponsors: Grossi Fabrication, Inc., Chicken Ranch Casino, Salida Ag Chem, Inc., Stump Construction and Western Mining Services. They also sent out a thank you to the golfers, those who provided the raffle items and food, and a special thank you to the volunteers.

The proceeds will benefit Saron’s Senior Outreach Ministry and Facilities Fund.
