The Escalon Cougar football program got a tremendous effort from recent graduate Joseph Cowan during the 35th Annual Lions All-Star Football game held at the University of the Pacific June 21 in front of a large audience.
Cowan made his presence felt on the field immediately, giving an explosive North squad running lanes from his offensive line spot during the first half of the 27-21 North victory over the South.
Cowan was one of a handful of participants who played nearly the entire first half, hardly ever leaving the field during the first 20 minutes of action.
