Basketball Girls Battle In Annual Tournament

The Pete Arellano Memorial Tournament, hosted by the Escalon Lions Club, will see both the Escalon varsity and JV basketball girls take to the court.

In the varsity division, Ripon Christian, Bret Harte, Central Catholic, Summerville, Amador, Johansen, Millennium and Escalon are taking part. Games run Wednesday, Dec. 4 through Friday, Dec. 6 kicking off with a 3:30 p.m. game each day, followed by tip offs at 5 p.m., 6:30 p.m. and 8 p.m.

Escalon plays at 8 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 4 against Millennium. The championship game is scheduled for Friday, Dec. 6 at 8 p.m.

In the JV Tournament, Escalon takes on Waterford in the 3:30 p.m. opener on Dec 4. Amador goes against Johansen at 5 p.m.; Central Catholic vs. Ripon Christian at 6:30 p.m. and Beyer vs. Riverbank at 8 p.m. Again, the championship game is set for 8 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 6.

Varsity games are in the main gym at EHS; JV games are in the old gym.
