The Stockton Kings, the National Basketball Association G-League affiliate for the Sacramento Kings, are entering their second season in the 209. Upon their arrival in 2018, the Kings made a major impact in local communities. Last summer the organization hosted a Stuff the Bus event and later this month they will be hosting their second annual Stuff the Bus to help out local students.

Beginning on Monday, July 15 fans can donate school supplies at drop-off boxes located at various stores and restaurants at the Lincoln Center. The drive will help provide supplies to local students from Gospel Center Rescue Mission and select participating teens from Lord’s Gym City Center as they begin the new school year.

“Last year, in partnership with Lincoln Center, the community helped us collect over 1,000 school supply items for students in need,” said Stockton Kings President of Business Operations Dustin Toms. “We are excited to launch this drive again and continue our mission to promote education in Stockton.”

“We are excited to partner again this year with the Stockton Kings collecting school supplies for students in need,” said Marketing Director of Lincoln Center Tara Valone. “The children in our community hold a special place in our hearts and we are looking forward to another great year of donations.”

To wrap-up the drive on July 20, the Stockton Kings, with the help of mascot Dunkson, will host a drop-off event at Lincoln Center. From 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., fans who drop off donations will have the opportunity to receive a voucher for two tickets to Stockton Kings opening night on Nov. 8, as well as Stockton Kings swag and hang out with Stockton Kings personalities.

Suggested donation items include: backpacks, spiral notebooks, weekly/monthly planners, pens, pencils, highlighters, three ring binders, college ruled paper and master locks for lockers. For more information, visit StocktonKings.com.
