The Delta Fly Fishers, in cooperation with San Joaquin County Parks, have planned the annual Catfish Derby, coming up on Saturday, June 7 at Shumway Oak Grove Regional Park, Stockton.

Gates open at 6:15 a.m.; last weigh in is at 12:30 p.m.

Competition is open to all ages. There is a $5 cash fishing fee for those ages 16 and older, and a California fishing license is also required. Those under 16 fish for free.

There is also a $6 cash only vehicle entry fee to the park.

Five fish limit; there has been 1,700 pounds of catfish stocked for this derby. Shumway Oak Grove Regional Park is at 4520 W. Eight Mile Road, Stockton.
