Kudos To Crews

Dear Editor,

I want to thank the Escalon Police and Fire Departments for their quick, skilled, and courteous responses to a fence fire between our neighbor’s house and ours last Wednesday night, January 8th. One PD officer first alerted us and the neighbors and, then, grabbed a backyard hose to initially attack the fire. The Fire Department was there about two minutes later and controlled it completely, making sure the wood pile next to the fence was completely free of embers. Escalon is blessed to have such dedicated members of both agencies protecting us. Thank you!
