Dear Editor,

This is an open letter to the Escalon community.

On behalf of the Escalon High School Sober Graduation Committee, we are respectfully asking you and/or your company to consider a donation to our Sober Graduation celebration. This event will take place on June 2, 2017 as a reward to our graduating class of 2017 for a job well done. This is our 20th year for Sober Graduation festivities. It is a wonderful tradition for our graduates.

We are very proud of our students’ accomplishments. As an all-volunteer committee, we are pleased to provide a safe, sober and memorable celebration for them. It is an opportunity to demonstrate to these young people that they can have a fun time without the need for alcohol or drugs. The graduates will enjoy food, games, music, dancing, a hypnotist show and prizes. Most of all, they will enjoy one last event with their whole class.

As you can imagine, this event costs money which we are working hard to raise. We are asking local businesses for raffle prizes for our Fall Bunko Bash held the first Thursday of November. Any donation you could give will be greatly appreciated.

Our non-profit tax I.D. number through Escalon High School is 94-1504100.

All donations should be mailed to the office of Escalon High School, 1528 East Yosemite Avenue, Escalon, CA, 95320, (Attention: Sober Graduation Committee) Thank you and we very much appreciate your time and consideration.

Tammy Alcantor,

EHS Sober Grad Committee
