Voit ‘Fred’ Tredway, 94, passed away in his Escalon home on July 7, 2014.
He was born in Whitefield, OK on Dec. 1, 1919.
Fred was a member of the Merchant Marines. He retired from Petri Winery in Escalon. He served as the President of the United Distillery Workers Union. He loved the outdoors, camping, fishing, RVing to Yuma, AZ and spending time with family and friends.
Survivors include his son Jim Tredway of Placerville; grandson Kevin Schulz of Escalon, grandson Kerry Schulz (Denise) of Escalon, granddaughter Kristi Tredway (Angela) of Maryland, and granddaughter Jami Labrouche (Clement) of Hilmar; and five great granddaughters, Jessica, Mallory, Lauren, Reese and Ella.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Lena Tredway; his daughter, Jeanetta Most; and his grandson, Jason Tredway.
Visitation was at Deegan Funeral Chapel in Escalon on Monday, July 14; services were Tuesday, July 15 at the Chapel in Escalon, followed by a graveside service.
