Virgil spent his childhood in Escalon. He graduated from Escalon High School where he met and married the love of his life, Mayetta. He was a professional truck driver for 60 years before retiring in December 2015.
When he wasn’t driving truck, he enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, going to Monterey and Morro Bay to watch the tide “come in and go out”. One of his favorite things to do was help his wife in the yard (or watch his wife work) as he admired the beauty she created with her flowers.
His grandchildren were very special to him and he cherished every moment spent with them whether it be at home or going on vacations together. He loved the holidays when all the family came together.
He will truly be missed by all who knew and loved hm.
