Thelma Lee Langston Daley, 84, passed away on Sunday, March 8.

She was born in Texas and worked in many local canneries, retiring from the Escalon Packers.

She had a very outgoing spirit and a beautiful smile; enjoying dancing with the seniors club, quilting and making crafts with her grandchildren. Her grandchildren and great grandchildren loved to hear her childhood stories.

An Escalon resident for 48 years, Mrs. Daley was a member of the Grange.

A big hearted and spirited woman who always had an open door for friends and family, she will be missed by many but remembered by all.

Survivors include her children, Tommy Langston of Provo, Utah, Carolyn Jones of Fountain Inn, S.C. Harry Langston of Mesa, AZ., Bill Langston of Modesto; 13 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Bill Langston.

A visitation will be held at Deegan Funeral Chapel, Escalon on Wednesday, March 11 from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m.

Services to be held Thursday, March 12 at 10 a.m. at Deegan Funeral Chapel in Escalon with burial to follow at Burwood Cemetery.

Memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.
