Terry Lynn Brumley, 51, of Escalon passed away Wednesday morning, March 15 at the Alexander Cohen Hospice House, Hughson, after a brave and valiant three-year battle with cancer.

She was born in Modesto on Dec. 6, 1959 and raised in Escalon, graduating from Escalon High School in 1978. She continued her studies at Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo and graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Agriculture Business. She later received her teaching credential from the University of Pacific. She was a very caring individual who enjoyed sewing, cross-stitch and baking.

During the past two years she made and donated over 300 scarves for the UC Davis Cancer Center. She was employed by Escalon Unified School District as a sixth grade teacher for over 20 years. Her life was devoted to her students. She attended Shelter Cove Community Church.

Survivors include her parents, Lealon and Peggy Brumley of Escalon; brothers, Phillip (Gail) and Thomas (Karin) Brumley of Escalon and Don (Skeeter) Brumley of Orovada, Nevada; seven nieces and nephews, Brett, Claire, Rosebud, Dominic, Kari, Brooke and Bryce.

She was preceded in death by her brother Ernest.

Private burial.

Memorial service was on Saturday, March 19 at Shelter Cove Community Church, Modesto.
