Steven Cambra, 83, of Oakdale died Thursday, July 15 at Kaiser Hospital, Sacramento. Mr. Cambra was a native of Hawaii. He lived in Oakdale for 52 years.

He was shipping leadman for Calaveras Asbestos for 20 years and also was a dairyman for 20 years. He served in the U.S. Army Air Corp. during W.W. II.

He belonged to St. Mary's Catholic Church and the Knights of Columbus.

He is survived by his wife, Madeline Cambra of Oakdale; children, Steven Cambra, Jr. of Elk Grove and Shirley Pikula of Williamsville, New York; sisters, Mary Ann Wood of Yuba City, Susie Cimpanelli of Escalon; brother, Mac McGee of Tennessee; five grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

A rosary will be said at 7 p.m. Wednesday, July 21 at Oakdale Memorial Chapel, Oakdale. Mass will be at 8:45 a.m. Thursday, July 22 at St. Mary's Catholic Church. Burial will be at 2:30 p.m. Thursday, July 22 at Tracy Public Cemetery, Tracy. Visitation will be from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday, July 21 at Oakdale Memorial Chapel, Oakdale.
