Shirlee Gail Kearsley, best known as "Gail" to her loved ones and close friends, passed away on Wednesday, April 20 after a battle with kidney disease and other illnesses. She was just three days shy of her 75th birthday.

She was a devoted wife, mom, mother-in-law, grandmother and great grandmother.

Born in Lindsey, Oklahoma, she moved to California at the age of four. She went through school in Concord until her late high school years when she moved to Ripon to live with her sister Pansy. This is where she met the love of her life, Richard Kearsley.

She was involved in Girl Scouts, Junior Women's, Chamber of Commerce and her bowling league. She also loved to spend time house boating, fishing, playing cards, golfing, going to the county horse races, making ceramic dolls, knitting and cooking wonderful meals. She was very supportive in the family poultry/egg business and of Richard's Masonic and Shrine activities.

Gail and Richard greatly enjoyed traveling and spending time with each other through the years. They were like magic on the dance floor, many times people cleared the dance floor just to watch them dance.

She will be deeply missed by all.

Survivors include her husband of 56 years, Richard Kearsley; son Gary Kearsley (Patty); daughter Debbie Hallinan (Tim); nine grandchildren, Daylene Teixeira, Michelle Kearsley, Melissa Booth (Elvis), Scott Kearsley, Tyson Teixeira (Heather), Jared Kearsley (Jennifer), Brandi Wilkerson, Elizabeth Musser and Patricia Hallinan; and five great-grandchildren, Jocelyn Walle, Sarah Booth, Dillan Booth, Madlin Teixeira and Brooke Musser; one brother, Troy Huddleston (Joanna); and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents William "Lark" and Pearl Huddleston, a brother Cleo Huddleston and two sisters Pansy Dolezal and Betty Taylor.

Visitation was Tuesday, April 26. A Funeral Service will be on Wednesday April 27 at 11a.m. at Deegan's Funeral Chapel in Escalon, California. Burial to follow the service at Burwood Cemetery in Escalon.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that remembrances be made to Escalon Ambulance or Shriners Children's Hospital.
