Rosey Lee Pitts, 80, passed away on Thursday, Feb. 2 in Riverbank.

She was born on June 28, 1931 in Weaver, Arkansas and was a resident of Escalon for the past 62 years. A loving mother and grandmother, she loved reading and playing bingo in her spare time. She had many friends, and her grandchildren were very important to her in her life. She was a joyful and loving person to everyone.

Survivors include her children, daughter Debbie and son-in-law James Teixeira of Escalon and son David Pitts, also of Escalon; grandchildren, Jason Pitts of Woodbridge, VA, Steven Teixeira, Matthew Teixeira, Jesse Pitts and Brandi Platt, all of Escalon, Tiffany Teixeira of Riverbank; great grandson Tre Pitts of Woodbridge, VA; siblings, Betty Pitts of Ceres, Lendel Hall of Pryor, OK, Harold Hall of Clearlake and Patsy Bereznak of Midwest, OK.

She was preceded in death by her husband Ollie Pitts in 1970, her daughter Charlotte Pitts in 1977, and her granddaughter Melanie.

A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, Feb. 8 at 10 a.m. at Burwood Cemetery in Escalon.
