Rose Beasley Small Anderson, 95, passed away peacefully on May 15, 2009 surrounded by loved ones.

She was born Feb. 18, 1914 in Escalon, to Jim and Idelete Beasley. She graduated from Ceres High School. Rose married A. J. Small in 1934, and they lived in the Modesto area for most of their 43 years until A.J. passed away. She married Francis Anderson in l984 and they lived in Federal Way, Washington during their 24 ½ years of marriage.

She was a devoted Christian and an active member of the Federal Way Church of Christ for the past 30 years.

She is survived by two of her six siblings, Helen Bowser and Alice Gilbert of Modesto, her second husband, Francis Anderson, a son, Stan Small (wife Donna) of Modesto; a daughter, Phyllis Cash (husband Glenn) of Gresham, OR; and a daughter, Kathy Trowbridge of Peoria, IL. She had 11 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren. Francis' family added 13 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.

She is also survived by her stepchildren, Timothy Anderson (wife Chawn) of Vernonia, OR; Cherry (husband Steve Jensen) of Bakersfield, CA; Ethan (wife Debbie) of San Bernardino, CA; and Esther Anderson of Yelm. WA.

Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday, May 28 at the Burwood Cemetery, Escalon. Stan Small officiating.

Celebration of Life will be at 3 p.m., Sunday, May 31 at the Federal Way Church of Christ, Federal Way, WA.
