Son of Manuel & Helen (Souza) Marshall, was born at home in rural Gustine, CA on Aug. 6, 1931.  The family moved to Escalon, CA in 1936 & lived on Arthur Rd., where they had a small family dairy.        Ronald quickly learned the duties & responsibilities of hard work.  He attended Dent Elementary and graduated from Escalon High School in 1950. 

   In 1954 he was drafted into the U.S. Army.  He served in Okinawa and was honorably discharged in 1956.  In 1957 he met his future wife, JoAnn Trembley and they were married the following year at St. Patrick’s Church on June 28, 1958.

   In 1961, Ronald began his long career with the Marion VanVliet Family Dairy on Lone Tree Rd.  He remained a faithful & hardworking employee on the dairy for 35 years until his retirement in 1996.

   In 1963, Ronald & JoAnn were blessed with the arrival of their first child, Jonathan Ronald.  In 1968, they were blessed again with a daughter, Jennifer Ann.

   Ronald passed away on Feb. 19 at Garden City Healthcare Center in Modesto where he spent his last two months.     Ronald is survived by his beloved wife of 56 years, JoAnn and his loving children, Jonathan & his wife Elaine; Jennifer Roy and her husband Rick.  Grandchildren, Aaron Brink (Amber), Sarah Barnick (Justan), Brendan & Jake Marshall and Great Grandchild, Haven Brink.  Also survived by his devoted sisters:  Isabell Borrelli, Lillian Fasano, Louise Jericoff & Cecilia Arpoika . Preceded in death by siblings Hazel Castro & Albert Marshall.

   Funeral Services are as follows:  Thurs., Feb 26, Riverbank Memorial Chapel, 3131 Santa Fe St., Riverbank 95367  Visitation 4-7 p.m. with recitation of the Rosary at 7 p.m.  Fri., Feb 27, St. Patrick’s Catholic Church, 19399 E. Hwy #120, Ripon, CA 95366, Funeral Mass at 11:00 a.m. followed by a reception in the church hall.
