Phyllis Ann Rocha peacefully passed away at the age of 85, May 9, 2024, in Riverbank, CA. She was born a twin, January 16, 1939, in Modesto, CA, to parents Anthony and Mary Damas. Phyllis loved her family and enjoyed cooking for them, she was also known for her popcorn balls she would make for Halloween. She was a hard worker, maintaining a home, a family, and a business alongside her husband, John. Phyllis’ home was always open to her children’s friends, family, and grandchildren. She adored her grandchildren and loved spoiling them. Phyllis will be missed by all who knew and loved her.

Phyllis is survived by her children; Frank Rocha of Turlock, John Rocha, III (Rosemary) of Escalon and Teresa Barrow (Richard) of Escalon; grandchildren include, Samantha Ruiz (Francisco), Krysten Rocha, Megan Rocha and great-grandchild, Francisco Ruiz, III. She is also survived by her sister Edwina Mello of Turlock. Phyllis is preceded in death by her husband, John Rocha, Jr., her parents, Anthony and Mary Damas and her twin brother, Philip Damas and her son, Manuel Rocha.

Deegan Funeral Chapel is honored to serve the Rocha family. A funeral service for Phyllis will be held, Tuesday, May 21, 2024, at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church with a viewing starting at 9:30 a.m., Recitation of the Rosary at 10 a.m., concluded with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 a.m. Committal immediately following at St. John’s Catholic Cemetery.
