Philip Raymond Adrian, 86, died Sunday, Jan. 2, 2011.
He was born June 9, 1924 to Arthur and Marie Adrian. He was a lifelong resident of Escalon.
After graduating from Escalon High School as class valedictorian, he vigorously pursued success as a peach, almond, and walnut farmer.
Mr. Adrian was an active member of Saron Lutheran Church, serving in many capacities of the church community. He was a man of great integrity and determination, who took great pride in his family and work. He will be dearly missed.
Survivors include his loving wife of 54 years, Mary; two children, Cindy (Jon) Murphy and Marty (Diana) Adrian; grandchildren Tracy and Daniel Murphy, and Joseph and Thomas Adrian; and siblings Lydia, Frank, and Ruth.
He was preceded in death by three siblings, Dorothy, Arthur, and Paul.
A memorial service to celebrate Phil's life will be held at Saron Lutheran Church in Escalon at 11 a.m. on Thursday Jan. 6.
