Michael Lee Roos, 42, died on Christmas Day, Dec. 25, 2010.

He was born on Sept. 18, 1968 in Manteca.

He had a passion for race cars and those that knew him know that racing was his life. He was a race car fabricator and built custom shocks for race cars.

Survivors include his wife Shannon; his sons Dakota and Devin; his parents Ken and Margaret Roos; siblings Helene (Sherwin) De Boer and David (Gina) Roos; sister-in-laws Laurie (Rick) Bontrager and Kelley (Michael) Dangler; and brother-in-law Jeff (Rita) Christensen; mother-in-law Nancy Iniguez and father-in-law David Christensen; and several nieces and nephews, Jason (Angela) De Boer, Jessica De Boer, Samuel Roos and Olivia Roos, Nick and Justin Bontrager, Michael III and Maizy Dangler.

He was preceded in death by his son Gage, grandparents Leonard and Marge Bakker and John and Jeannette Roos.

Visitation was Tuesday, Jan. 4.

Burial will at Ripon Cemetery, 300 Stockton Ave., Ripon, on Wednesday, Jan. 5 at 10 a.m.

A celebration of life service will be on Wednesday, Jan. 5 at 11 a.m. at Immanuel CRC, 517 Orange Avenue, Ripon.
