Meri (Mary) Kathleen Lynch (Solus) Huntley, 55, died Friday, Nov. 7 at her Oakdale home.

She was a native of Cedar City, UT. She moved to San Jose at the age of 20 for a brief time, and then she moved to Riverbank. She lived in Riverbank for about 24 years and in Oakdale for the past eight years.

She worked at Contadina Cannery for 25 years until it closed. She did taxes for some of her friends and also did house and apartment cleaning.

She was active in her children's special events, until nine years ago when she took a turn to fight her longtime illness. She handled it in good spirits and was still somewhat active. She will be missed by her family and friends.

She is survived by her husband, Vincent P. Huntley, Jr. of Escalon; sons, Michael and Matthew Solus of Riverbank, and Vincent P. Huntley, III of Oakdale; sister, Ann Hess of San Jacinto; and five grandchildren.

Services were held Nov. 18 at the Riverbank Community Center.
