Mary "Christine" Werly, 62, passed away on Dec. 31, 2008 at the Alexander Cohen Hospice House in Hughson.
She was a resident of Escalon for the past 11 years and previously of Stockton for 24 years. She will be remembered as a loving daughter, mother, grandmother, sister and friend who was loved by and will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
Survivors include her daughters, Christine Harris of Summerville, SC and Melissa Pappas of Ripon; her mother, Suzanne Dyvad of Idaho; her siblings Daniel Sturkie of Los Angeles, Cynthia Fendley of Ogden, UT and Murry Sturkie of Boise, ID; and her grandchildren, Kimberly Harris, Ashley Harris and Michael Harris, all of Summerville, SC and Suzanne Pappas, Danielle Pappas, Megan Pappas, Chelsie Pappas and Michelle Pappas, all of Ripon.
A graveside service was held on Tuesday, Jan. 6 at Burwood Cemetery. In loving memory, donations may be sent to Community Hospice, 4368 Spyres Way, Modesto, CA 95356.
